Our Wedding

It was such a pretty October day in Ohio. October 7, 2006. For the 2 days prior to the wedding (Thursday and Friday) I had 3 total hours of sleep. I had so many final details to work out with the wedding, packing for the honeymoon, and dealing with my remaining belongings still in Dayton.

It's true what they say. The day does come and go faster than you would think, but I had some great advice given to me just before the ceremony began. A lady from the church came and found me in the dressing area, and said "Make sure that you take mental snap shots to remember your day". So, I took her up on her advice and remember so much of our day. I thought I was doing a good job taking everything in, until I got back to Houston, and saw the pictures of our wedding and talked to people who were there. Little did I know there were so many things that happened that day that I never even knew. Some of them I'm glad I missed out on, but some of them were just because I could only be in once place at one time. I missed out on my family's crazy dancing (my brother and cousin Mark most of all). I realized when I saw the pictures that I had really missed out on that . Gerry and I had been outside getting last minute pictures with our photographer (who did a great job by the way).

We really had a great day. I truly could not have asked for a better day. The weather was great, it was so nice to share the day with those who came, and there weren't any problems that were noticeable to anyone but me (the planner always knows the way things are SUPPOSED to go). There were so many people who told me it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Even grown men were crying (and not just my dad).

It was truly a special moment in our lives and one that we will never forget!
